"Right over wrong" OR "Good over evil" :: What's your choice?

We all have a perspective
Theories about various things
Situations.
People.
We assess situations in a random partially interested way.
Pick up what we like about it -
And then give up all our life in fabricating a half witted elucidation of it.
Eventually it's to hell with reality all together and we start weaving fiction in our delusional head.
And it's not just one person.
That's why "we"
Its pretty much everyone.
The pretty ones
The smart ones
The self loathing ones
The narcissists-

We build and build
And tear down a little
And then build again
Tear and build
Tear and build
And what with all this psychological construction and demolition,
We wake up one day and we've completely lost track of what’s really going on??

...
Given it up for whatever movie script our mind was writing for us.
Our idealistic, captivating movie script.
Idealistic is not necessarily the happy us.

Just the way we’d like to see ourself as,

You.
Your movie.
Your vision.

Like those fight scenes in The Matrix where they grew hair and wore cool sunglasses and suits.

Okay, I killed it!!!

Anyway..

It’s all fine when it’s restricted to your head.
But, what do you do, when your personal libretto becomes an hindrance to the true story?
Which is what happens most of the time.

"You look at me, I look at you.

Neither of us know what to do."

The problem with us is that we don’t know our punctuation.
We don’t know when we should put the commas, the semi colons, the exclamation marks, the hyphens…
And we nearly never know when or what calls for a full stop
So we live, live in this cyclical tizzy, over emphasizing, under emphasizing and in some cases, forgetting the emphasis altogether

Have you ever had a moment where you knew the only one who could change the ending was you?
The only person that could put an end to long sighs, short breaths, sleepless nights – that person was you?
And still you paused, pen in hand, hurting, confused and full of things you didn’t know you could feel
And the pen stayed in your hand, as you hesitated over and over and over again to just put the full stop?
You questioned, you exclaimed, you underlined
But you didn’t put that one tiny little dot

There are Lexis we hear and words we write
There are thoughts we think and feelings that make us wince
There are songs we hear, again and again, until the words are ingrained in our brain
Songs that play even without the music
Songs we hear over and over, shutting eyelashes tight over watery eyes,
Songs we hear, wincing at what we feel, at what they make us think
Songs we hear, sometimes even hating them, their lyrics, the way we suffer when they pick up

My song is picking up now and it’s tragic and kind of ridiculous,

Seriously!! how I hate and love it at the same time…
 

There is this road...

It does have an end.

We just don't see it.

So the best key is to draw commas, postpone of what you don’t know of the end - 

And say if there is an end, it better to continue with commas,

I'd always put commas, as much as I can.
I find them better than drawing scars.

“Oh my God, you look gorgeous; you HAVE to wear THIS one! It’s perfect!” one declares.

“Eeeeeee HOW do you stay this pretty?! It’s just NOT fair!”, squeals another.

“You’re so lucky, seriously, you got insanely pretty eyes and the curves! I’ve seen the boys look at you!”, a third complains.

She fakes a smile, struts about the room in the dress from Hell and heels that pinch her toes, grin coquettishly at her friends and strike a pose.

They burst out in laughter at the theatrics..

..Until the quietest one whispers from the corner of the room, “Look in the mirror, sweetie. You like what you see, right?”

Suddenly, she’s hushed.

She averts her gaze to avoid eye contact, lest she’d see the truth threatening to give itself away.

The cold, guarded truth.

And then it hits her, right inside the gut.

Behind a veiled face, there exists..
Eyes hollow.

Lifeless limbs, a weary, exhausted, forced smile.

And that’s when I realize: We’ve been raised to be schizophrenic; an appearance of perfection and cohesiveness is a lot more important than genuine feelings.

To be persuasive, you must be believable.

To be believable, you must be credible.

To be credible, you must be truthful.
